Costume of a noblewoman from Hydra island. It belonged to Kyriakoula Kriezi, wife of Admiral and Prime Minister of Greece, Antonios Kriezis, and daughter of the Bey of Hydra, Georgios Voulgaris. It consists of a silk tunic, a pleated green silk dress, a silk "tzaka" (vest) and silk embroidered "kontoures" (slippers). The waist is bound by a silk kerchief with flowers woven into it. The dressing of the long white bridal shawl ("bolia") is unique and covers the head and breast, 19th century.
