Festal costume from Chios. It consists of the tunic, a short waistcoat holding embroidered sleeves ("boustomanika") and the pleated dress adorned with silk linear embroidery, spangles and lace. The waist is bound with a girdle and the shoes are of leather. The headgear consists of a small cap of a thick white material ("stroungi"), four cotton kerchiefs ("tsemberia") and the gossamer cotton kerchief ("papazina").
