During the "European Heritage Days", the Ministry of Culture for the year 2009 has chosen the theme "Wizards, spells and amulets: Magic in the Ancient and Christian world". 

The National Historical Museum participates with the exhibition "Amulets and spells". From the Museum’s collections are presented apotropaic symbols of Modern Greek tradition as reflected in: amulets, costumes, war armament, jewelry, personal items, household items - and old manuscripts with relevant content.

The visitors will have access to relative bibliography and the opportunity to learn the content of manuscripts from transcribed texts on spells and magic.
