Bridal costrume from Astypalaia island, 18th century. It consists of a woven cotton tunic with embroidery, a silk dress with amulets and ribbons in the back and velvet slippers. The headgear consists of a pearl-embroidered cap, a golden kerchief with animal motifs, a yellow cotton-silk kerchief and a long, pure-silk embroidered shawl ("bolia"). The ensemble is completed by pendant earrings, pins and a chain belt, 18th century.
