Festal costume from Zitsa, Epirus. It consists of a white cotton tunic ("pokamisso"), a waistcoat ("zipouni"), an apron, a woven cotton girdle and a sleeveless coat ("sigouni"). Red leather "tsarouchia" are worn with knitted stockings ("tsourapia"). The headgear consists of a red and black fez. Chain jewellery at the breast, a necklace ("yordani"), the large silver-chased buckle at the belt, earrings and jewellery pinned to the fez are accessories to this costume, 19th century.
