Festal costume from Pogoni, Epirus. It consists of a white cotton tunic ("routi"), a striped under-waistcoat ("seyaki"), a long straight woolen dress and the outer "seyaki" decorated with red tassels at the back. At the waist a black girdle and a woolen apron are worn. The head is covered by a white silk "bolia" with two narrow red bands at its edges ("posia"), one of which hangs over the right temple and the other at the back, 19th century.
