Festal and bridal costume from Liountza, Epirus. It is made up of the "kemis" (linen tunic), a crossed-over dress of stripped silk material with gold and green embroidery ("fermeles"), a short striped silk coat ("doulamas") and a green coat of felt ("tsocha"). A gold-weave girdle is worn at the waist and the head is covered with the "kesoule", a fez made from gold braid and decorated with coins, spangles and gold wire, 19th-20th century.
