Festal costume from Megara, Attica. It consists of a white tunic and a dark-colored cotton ("kaplamas"). The "kaplamas" is tight-fitting with long narrow sleeves while from the waist down it takes the form of five cross-cut panels, - latzoulia. At the waist, an apron of striped cotton material and a striped woven girdle, embroidered with multi-colored flowers, are worn. The head is covered with a red fez and a yellow cotton kerchief, 19th century.
