Formal costume of Maria Gardikioti-Griva, worn at the court of Queen Olga. It comprises the silk dickey and detachable sleeves trimmed with gold lace, the silk skirt with gold ribbons round the hem, the woolen overskirt with train and the sleeveless coat ("sigouna"). A green velvet band and gold embroidery embellish the edges of the outer garments- "fousta" and "sigouna". Around the waist is a belt with silver niello buckle. The head is covered by a silk veil with gold lace and fringing.
