Festal costume from Archangelos, Rhodes. It consists of white woven breeches with embroidery at the hem, a white cotton tunic ("poukamissa") decorated with apple trees and red and green embroidery, a pleated, sleeveless silk dress with multi-colored sprays and birds woven into it, and the "kamouzeta", a gold-embroidered silk waistcoat with folded back sleeves. A dark red silk belt is worn at the waist. The headgear consists of a cotton "tsemperi" and a gold-embroidered "tsipia", held at the crown with the "foundi"- a triangular engraved decoration with chains and coins, 18th century.
