The National Historical Museum reopens its doors to the public on Tuesday, June 16 2020. Our visitors will have access to our permanent exhibition which narrates the history of Modern Greece. At the same time, the temporary exhibitions "Time of Freedom: watches of the Fighters of ΄21" (based on program) and "The ΄21 Allios: The Greek Revolution in PLAYMOBIL custom figures and dioramas " (which is extended until August 30, 2020) continue their operation.
NHM follows the instructions and suggestions made by the Ministry of Culture and Sports to protect our visitors in the context of COVID-19 pandemic:
For visitors:
- Mandatory use of face masks and distance of 2 meters between visitors in all exhibition areas and in reception where a protective shield has been installed. The use of face masks for kids is optional.
- Priority in the service of the disabled, people over 65, pregnant women, etc.
- Hand disinfectant dispensers in all areas of the Museum
- Controlled entrance to the Museum Shop, where one visitor will enter each time
For the convenience of our visitors there will be general instructions posted in all areas, as well as floor stickers indicative of the 2m distance between visitors.
All Museum staff who will have direct contact with visitors will use a protective face mask.
